Southern Miss baseball team to host Tenn. Vols in Super Regionals

The Southern Miss baseball team will host Super Regionals for the second time in its history.

NCAA officials confirm the Golden Eagles will host the Tennessee Volunteers in the 2023 NCAA Hattiesburg Super Regional. The best-of-three series winner will clinch a spot in the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.

Game 1 of the Super Regional Series is scheduled for June 10 at 2 p.m. on the ESPNU network. Game 2 will take place June 11 at a time to be determined. Game 3, if necessary, will take place June 12 at a time to be determined.

"Season ticket holders at Pete Taylor Park will receive information regarding Super Regional tickets," SouthernMiss.com said. "Southern Miss Athletics does not anticipate selling tickets to the general public due to selling out Pete Taylor Park this season."

The Golden Eagles enter the Super Regional series with a record of 45-18. The Vols will come to Hattiesburg with a record of 41-19.
