Shelters, saferooms opening ahead of Zeta

Local officials tell FOX23 News the following shelters and saferooms will open.

\ The Forrest County FEMA-361 Saferoom (946 Sullivan Dr.) will open at 2 p.m. Wednesday.

\ The Jones County FEMA-361 Saferoom (1425 Ellisville Blvd., Laurel) will open at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

\ The Lamar County Saferoom (99 Central Industrial Row, Purvis) will open at 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, officials say people in the above shelters should be practice social distancing as much as possible. Those inside shelters should wear masks that cover noses and mouths.
