MEMA opens disaster assistance centers in Pine Belt

More than two weeks after the Easter tornadoes, MEMA has opened disaster assistance centers in Covington, Jefferson Davis, and Jones Counties. The centers are open weekdays 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. until noon (closed Sundays) at the following locations.

\ Covington County: Seminary United Methodist Church, 208 Pine Street, Seminary

\ Jefferson Davis County: L.L. Roberts United Methodist Church, 247 General Robert E. Blount Drive, Bassfield

\ Jones County: Antioch United Methodist Church, 845 Lowe Myrick Road, Laurel

If you go to a disaster assistance center, MEMA requests that you bring your Social Security Number, insurance information, damage information, financial information, and contact information.
