TUSCALOOSA, Alabama – The Jones County Junior College Bobcat cheerleaders won several awards at the recent UCA College Cheer Camp.

Jones cheerleaders competed in the Open-Coed Division at the camp, which was held July 19-22 at the University of Alabama.

Coach Kayla Hankins’ Bobcats took first place in Fight Song and were Overall Game Day champions. They won the Tradition Award, Upcoming Squad Award and finished second in Sideline and Timeout. Jones won the Leadership Award as voted on by all of the junior college/community colleges.

Sophomore Mackenzie Jordan of Laurel said, “This week we learned with hard work, determination and team work anything is possible."

Sophomore Ali Coleman of Sumrall added, “This week was a success for us because we set short team goals back at home. We worked hard to meet those goals.
