HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss Department of Athletics announced Wednesday a new program, Home Run for Heroes, designed to aid members of the military as well as special needs groups and underprivileged youth groups to attend baseball and softball games on the Golden Eagle campus this spring.
The Home Run for Heroes Campaign is a way to show your Golden Eagle Pride while also allowing these military members and other deserving groups an opportunity to attend a baseball or softball game and witness firsthand the passion of Southern Miss. For $5, you can sponsor a member from one of these local groups.
For each ticket purchased for the Home Run for Heroes Campaign, the Southern Miss Department of Athletics will match that purchase which will be donated to these deserving groups. All donated tickets will be distributed by the Southern Miss Department of Athletics throughout the 2017 baseball and softball seasons.
There are three ways for individuals or companies to take part in the Home Run for Heroes Campaign by purchasing tickets online at SouthernMissTickets.com, by calling the Southern Miss Ticket Office at 601-266-5418 or by visiting the Pat Ferlise Ticket Office weekdays from 8 a.m., until 5 p.m.
Home Run for Heroes tickets can be purchased in any number. The purchases are non-tax deductible.
