Robbery, assault; 1 man injured

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - A robbery and an assault happened last week.

Hattiesburg Police said the incident took place on Dec. 30 near Dan's Truck Stop and Cafe off of Highway 49.

The suspect demanded money from the victim and then stabbed him in his side. The suspect then stole his phone.

The victim ended up driving himself to Forrest General Hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

This is an ongoing investigation.
