Southern Miss will play in New Orleans Bowl

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss is going bowling.

It was announced Sunday that Southern Miss accepted an invitation to play in the 16th annual R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl.

The Golden Eagles (6-6) will face Louisiana Lafayette (6-6).

The game will be played at the Mercedes Benz Superdome on Saturday, Dec. 17, and will be aired on ESPN.

Kickoff is at 8 p.m.
