Coach Hopson is proud of his team for being bowl eligible

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Golden Eagles had a great game Friday and beat Louisiana Tech Friday, 39-24.

The team is now bowl eligible, and despite not making it to a conference championship, head coach Jay Hopson is very happy on what his team has accomplished.

"This football team has been a special blessing to me. A lot of people on the outside don't understand all the battles and adversities this team went through. This team never quit. Even though we didn't win all the games we wanted to win, we battled through a lot, and I don't know if I ever been prouder of a football team in my life," said Hopson.
