Game of the Week: Jackson Prep vs. PCS

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Presbyterian Christian Bobcats will face the Jackson Prep Patriots Friday.

During the regular season, these two teams met, and PCS defeated Jackson Prep, 28-16.

The Bobcats finished the regular season with an impressive 11-0 record and are looking to beat the Patriots again.

Head coach, Joey Hawkins said, "It's going to be a great game. We're so excited about hosting it. They got a heck of a football team. We're going to have to play our very best."

The Bobcats are led by their star running back, Isaiah Woullard.

Hawkins said he only needs 186 yards to break the state high school career rushing record.

"He'll get enough carries Friday night to have a chance to break it. I can promise you that," said Hawkins.

Woullard said "if it happens, it happens. I just want to win. That's all I have in my head."

PCS wants to keep their winning streak going.

"It was a team effort. It took all of us. We're just blessed and I thank God for it," said Woullard.

"We got a real good coaching staff this year and they just put us in the right places, and they've put a lot of effort into it, and it's paid off so far," said linebacker, Justin Stewart.

The Bobcats are taking these playoff games one at a time, and with all the success this team has had this year, a state championship is something they really want.

"We just deserve it you know? This team's been resilient the whole year and just played hard. I'm just proud of them," said Woullard.

Game time is at 7 p.m. at PCS.
