400+ high school students tour PRCC's Allied Health programs

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Over 400 high school students from Lamar County Center for Technical Education, Hattiesburg High, and FCAHS were at Pearl River Community College (PRCC) Forrest County Center Wednesday morning.

These students toured the Allied Health programs and had a chance to connect with PRCC faculty members and students.

Vice president of operations, Jana Causey said, "All of our faculty and staff, and students have planned activities for those students to get exposed to those different fields, so that hopefully we can help them find a career path."

"They're letting us see what they actually do and letting us know that if we want to get here, they're showing us what we'll be doing. Instead of just telling us about it, they're actually doing it with us," said participant Reina Williams.

Causey said the tour is all about helping students reach their goals and helps prepare them for their future in the health industry.
