Ole Miss, state flag concerns

OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss losing to Alabama over the weekend was not the only thing that buzzed negatively on campus Saturday.
According to reports, several Ole Miss fans waved state flags during the game.
Security personnel were instructed by emergency operations officials to confiscate their flags, due to university policy. The fans who were waving the state flag were asked to leave the game.
The University of Mississippi released a statement regarding this issue:
"According to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium policies, banners and poles are not permitted in the stadium, except for those approved by Ole Miss Event Management."
