USM faculty, staff will attend USM vs. Kentucky

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - College football is back and many Southern Miss fans are excited.

The university's Alumni Association is hosting several pre-game tailgating events throughout the season for alums, teachers, staff, and faculty members to attend.

The first game of the season is Saturday against Kentucky.

Associate director of public relations, Megan Burkes said, "We have some great momentum with the program and so many of my friends and our alumni are going up to support Southern Miss and it's going to be very exciting. So Southern Miss to the Top!"

"I'd say Southern Miss takes the win."

"I can't tell you that (laugh) Southern Miss by a touchdown."

The game will start at 6:30 p.m. and can be watched on ESPNU.
