Southern Miss destroys South Alabama, 14-2 to start off the Regional Tournament

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Golden Eagle fans have the right to chant “third times the charm” after Friday’s opening round game of the Tallahassee Regional.
Southern Miss took on South Alabama for the third time this year and did not disappoint.
Pitcher, Kirk McCarty started the game for the Golden Eagles and didn't give up a single hit until the fifth inning.
The offense was also clicking, especially in the sixth inning, as the team scored 11 runs in that inning alone.
All nine starters had at least one hit in the game.
Southern Miss got their revenge against South Alabama by beating the Jaguars, 14-2.
