United blood services urging Pine Belt residents to donate blood

HATTIESBURG, Miss - United Blood Services is low on negative blood and is encouraging folks to donate.
If you donate blood before Jan 24 you will be entered to win a pair of tickets to the Krew of Orpheus Mardis Gras Ball in New Orleans on Feb 8 with a two night hotel stay at the Hilton Riverside.
United Blood Services Representative, Katie Martin says, "We are experiencing an urgent level of all our negative blood types. We currently have very few of those units on the shelf. We are encouraging everybody to please come out if you are negative blood type to support our community because we are approaching a critical level which means we have less than a 24 hour supply on the shelf. So to keep us out of that please donate."
United Blood Services is opened Monday through Saturday.
