Additional Storm Death Reported to MEMA, Total Now 11

PEARL – The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency has received confirmation of an eleventh death as a result of tornadoes that struck the state Dec. 23. The Coahoma County Coroner reports a person died at a Memphis hospital where they were being treated for injuries since the storms.
The following counties have reported deaths:
Six in Benton Co.
Two in Coahoma Co.
Two in Marshall Co.
One in Tippah Co.
The State Emergency Operations Center remains partially activated with key agencies to assist local governments with storm recovery.
