Older Driver Safety Awareness Week


Mississippi - The American Occupational Therapy Association declared this week as Older Driver Safety Awareness Week.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, there were nearly 5700 people, 65 and older killed in 2013, and an estimate of 222,000 injured in car crashes.

The Mississippi Department of Transportation and AOTA are trying to increase the mobility and transportation safety of elderly drivers.
