Jones Co. Emergency Operations Ctr: Elevated risk of flash flooding through Friday

Jones Co, MS - Tuesday possible strong to severe storms during the day into the evening the main risks will be damaging winds of 50-60mph and flash flooding. The rest of the week we will be looking at heavy rainfall will totals possibly reaching 6”. Some small hail cannot be ruled out.

Jones County is under an elevated risk of flash flooding through Friday.

The Tallahala Creek at Laurel is not expected to rise above flood stage. Leaf River is also not expected to go above flood stage.
