PEARL –The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency is again asking the public to prepare for another possible winter storm on Wednesday and Thursday.
The National Weather Service is forecasting the possibility of freezing rain, sleet and snow for areas along and north of the Hwy. 82 corridor. There is the possibility of significant ice accumulations in that area.
“I can’t remember a time when we’ve had to gear up for winter weather three weeks in a row,” said MEMA Executive Director Robert Latham. “Since the forecast is still developing, citizens around the state need to stay tuned closely to weather forecasts for their area. With this advance notice, everyone needs to have a plan, and know what you will do. Doing the right thing could save your life!”
The following are the latest forecasts from the National Weather Service Offices.
